Altar Counselor — Members of this ministry are trained to listen, pray with or comfort the people who come forward at the end of a worship service.
Angels of Hope — Volunteers who sponsor several events through the year to raise money for the “Kare 4 Kids” fund. This fund is used to help struggling families with children in our church and daycare.
Baptism Committee — Volunteers who assist those being baptized, by showing them to the changing rooms, taking wet robes and towels, and assist them into the baptismal during the worship service.
Buckeye Baptist Builders - This is a group of dedicated men, women and youth who volunteer their time and talent to build new structures for churches who do not have a building in which to meet. Builders pay their own travel and lodging expenses, offering their skills for free to the host church. You do not have to be a carpenter to help. There are various tasks available that do not require specialized skills, just willing hands.
Buildings & Grounds — Help maintain the church building inside and out doing light repair work, changing light bulbs, painting, etc.
Greeters — Provide guests and members with a warm friendly smile, handshake and directions as they enter the church.
“Hands 4 Him” Puppet Ministry - This ministry performs for people of all ages through music, drama, and humor using puppets. The team serves as a witness for Christ, with each person using his or her God given abilities. The puppet ministry is open to children grades 1–6. Adults and youth are also welcome.
Hospitality — This ministry provides meals to families after a funeral or a stay in the hospital.
Hostess - Serves coffee and snacks before the worship services to welcome visitors.
Landscaping — Maintain the church grounds so as to enhance the beauty of our facilities.
Media Operator– In charge of using Powerpoint to show the songs on the large screens in the sanctuary and to play videos when needed. If you are familiar with a computer you may be interested in this area.
Men’s Ministry — Men of all ages are involved in accountability groups, building projects, and breakfast meetings through the year.
CD-DVD Ministry — Pastor’s sermons are recorded each week and are available to you. Requests can be made on your connection card, the sign up sheet at the information center or call the church office.
Community Action Team (C.A.T.) — A group of volunteers who serve the community through random acts of kindness. Serving others shows the spirit and love of Christ to those within our local communities. Whether you are outgoing or shy, volunteering with C.A.T. will be a blessing to you and those you serve.
Counting Committee - Members who are responsible for the collection, counting, and deposit of the weekly offerings. Meet Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm.
Drama — If you have a passion for the stage or just like to be in the spotlight, we need you. People are used through the year for skits, the Easter and Christmas productions.
Finance Committee - Members who oversee the budget and finances for the church. They meet once a quarter.
Missions Ministry - A group of people who plan and organize all the details for church wide mission trips local and overseas.
Nursery Workers - Members who care for the children during worship services on Sunday and Wednesday.
Productions Easter & Christmas — A production that is put on at FBC and open to the community. Many singers, actors, set designers, stage hands, lighting and sound crew are needed for this event.
Personnel Committee - Oversee the hiring of the staff for First Baptist Church.
Security Team - A team of members who are dedicated to ensuring the children and the children’s wing are secure and safe on Sunday mornings.
Seniors Ministry — The “Happy Wanderers” are our senior adults who are involved in a variety of ministries, fellowship, and travel.
Connection Group Teacher — Connection group teachers are ALWAYS needed. You can teach Sunday mornings, substitute teach occasionally or start your own connection group on a different day of the week. If you have a passion for teaching, any age group from toddler to adult, this ministry is for you.
Sound Technician — A team of people who sit in the sound booth during worship services controlling the lighting and microphones.
Sports - A ministry providing opportunities for outreach through softball, golf and bowling.
Ushers — A team of men who provide direction to the congregation as they assemble for worship, plus aid in the collection of tithes and offerings.
Vacation Bible School — Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun-filled, evangelistic outreach event for boys and girls age 4yrs — 6th grade. Bible study, crafts, missions, recreation, music, snacks and worship are all a part of this exciting week, held in mid-July. Adult workers are always needed for this week of events.
Van Ministry - Transports people for connection groups and then return them home after Sunday morning worship services.
Women’s Ministry — Women of all ages participate in special events, community outreach and Bible studies scheduled throughout the year.
Worship Choir — A ministry that sings on Sunday morning during our 10:30 am worship service. They perform special productions at Easter and Christmas and a few times a year they perform outside the church. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the choir room.
Worship Team — A team that performs on Sunday mornings to lead the congregation in worship. The Praise Singers for this ministry are chosen from the adult worship choir. The Praise Band is chosen through auditions. New instrumental players are always needed.
