Altar Coun­selor — Mem­bers of this min­istry are trained to lis­ten, pray with or com­fort the peo­ple who come for­ward at the end of a wor­ship service.

Angels of Hope — Vol­un­teers who spon­sor sev­eral events through the year to raise money for the “Kare 4 Kids” fund. This fund is used to help strug­gling fam­i­lies with chil­dren in our church and daycare.

Bap­tism Com­mit­tee — Vol­un­teers who assist those being bap­tized, by show­ing them to the chang­ing rooms, tak­ing wet robes and tow­els, and assist them into the bap­tismal dur­ing the wor­ship service.

Buck­eye Bap­tist Builders - This is a group of ded­i­cated men, women and youth who vol­un­teer their time and tal­ent to build new struc­tures for churches who do not have a build­ing in which to meet. Builders pay their own travel and lodg­ing expenses, offer­ing their skills for free to the host church. You do not have to be a car­pen­ter to help. There are var­i­ous tasks avail­able that do not require spe­cial­ized skills, just will­ing hands.

Build­ings & Grounds — Help main­tain the church build­ing inside and out doing light repair work, chang­ing light bulbs, paint­ing, etc.

Greeters — Pro­vide guests and mem­bers with a warm friendly smile, hand­shake and direc­tions as they enter the church.

“Hands 4 Him” Pup­pet Min­istry - This min­istry per­forms for peo­ple of all ages through music, drama, and humor using pup­pets. The team serves as a wit­ness for Christ, with each per­son using his or her God given abil­i­ties. The pup­pet min­istry is open to chil­dren grades 1–6. Adults and youth are also welcome.

Hos­pi­tal­ity — This min­istry pro­vides meals to fam­i­lies after a funeral or a stay in the hospital.

Host­ess - Serves cof­fee and snacks before the wor­ship ser­vices to wel­come visitors.

Land­scap­ing — Main­tain the church grounds so as to enhance the beauty of our facilities.

Media Oper­a­tor– In charge of using Pow­er­point to show the songs on the large screens in the sanc­tu­ary and to play videos when needed. If you are famil­iar with a com­puter you may be inter­ested in this area.

Men’s Min­istry — Men of all ages are involved in account­abil­ity groups, build­ing projects, and break­fast meet­ings through the year. 

CD-DVD  Min­istry — Pastor’s ser­mons are recorded each week and are avail­able to you. Requests can be made on your con­nec­tion card, the sign up sheet at the infor­ma­tion cen­ter or call the church office.

Com­mu­nity Action Team (C.A.T.) — A group of vol­un­teers who serve the com­mu­nity through ran­dom acts of kind­ness. Serv­ing oth­ers shows the spirit and love of Christ to those within our local com­mu­ni­ties. Whether you are out­go­ing or shy, vol­un­teer­ing with C.A.T. will be a bless­ing to you and those you serve.

Count­ing Com­mit­tee - Mem­bers who are respon­si­ble for the col­lec­tion, count­ing, and deposit of the weekly offer­ings. Meet Sun­day evenings at 5:00 pm.

Drama — If you have a pas­sion for the stage or just like to be in the spot­light, we need you. Peo­ple are used through the year for skits, the Easter and Christ­mas productions.

Finance Com­mit­tee - Mem­bers who over­see the bud­get and finances for the church. They meet once a quarter.

Mis­sions Min­istry - A group of peo­ple who plan and orga­nize all the details for church wide mis­sion trips local and over­seas.

Nurs­ery Work­ers - Mem­bers who care for the chil­dren dur­ing wor­ship ser­vices on Sun­day and Wednesday.

Pro­duc­tions Easter & Christ­mas — A pro­duc­tion that is put on at FBC and open to the com­mu­nity. Many singers, actors, set design­ers, stage hands, light­ing and sound crew are needed for this event.

Per­son­nel Com­mit­tee - Over­see the hir­ing of the staff for First Bap­tist Church.

Secu­rity Team - A team of mem­bers who are ded­i­cated to ensur­ing the chil­dren and the children’s wing are secure and safe on Sun­day mornings.

Seniors Min­istry — The “Happy Wan­der­ers” are our senior adults who are involved in a vari­ety of min­istries, fel­low­ship, and travel.

Con­nec­tion Group Teacher — Con­nec­tion group teach­ers are ALWAYS needed. You can teach Sun­day morn­ings, sub­sti­tute teach occa­sion­ally or start your own con­nec­tion group on a dif­fer­ent day of the week. If you have a pas­sion for teach­ing, any age group from tod­dler to adult, this min­istry is for you.

Sound Tech­ni­cian — A team of peo­ple who sit in the sound booth dur­ing wor­ship ser­vices con­trol­ling the light­ing and microphones.

Sports - A min­istry pro­vid­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties for out­reach through soft­ball, golf and bowling.

Ush­ers — A team of men who pro­vide direc­tion to the con­gre­ga­tion as they assem­ble for wor­ship, plus aid in the col­lec­tion of tithes and offerings.

Vaca­tion Bible School — Vaca­tion Bible School (VBS) is a fun-filled, evan­ge­lis­tic out­reach event for boys and girls age 4yrs — 6th grade. Bible study, crafts, mis­sions, recre­ation, music, snacks and wor­ship are all a part of this excit­ing week, held in mid-July. Adult work­ers are always needed for this week of events.

Van Min­istry - Trans­ports peo­ple for con­nec­tion groups and then return them home after Sun­day morn­ing wor­ship services.

Women’s Min­istry — Women of all ages par­tic­i­pate in spe­cial events, com­mu­nity out­reach and Bible stud­ies sched­uled through­out the year.

Wor­ship Choir — A min­istry that sings on Sun­day morn­ing dur­ing our 10:30 am wor­ship ser­vice. They per­form spe­cial pro­duc­tions at Easter and Christ­mas and a few times a year they per­form out­side the church. Rehearsals are Sun­day after­noon at 4:30 p.m. in the choir room.

Wor­ship Team — A team that per­forms on Sun­day morn­ings to lead the con­gre­ga­tion in wor­ship. The Praise Singers for this min­istry are cho­sen from the adult wor­ship choir. The Praise Band is cho­sen through audi­tions. New instru­men­tal play­ers are always needed.
